Privacy notice
What this website collects, why, and the rights you have under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
1. Scope
This notice covers personal data processed through this website (https://ramarajuassociates.in). Data we receive as part of a professional engagement is governed by the engagement letter and the ICAI Code of Ethics, which impose stricter confidentiality duties than this notice.
2. What we collect and why

We do not use advertising trackers, analytics cookies or social-media pixels on this site. The site sets no cookies of its own. To limit abuse of the enquiry form, our server keeps a counter of submissions made in the last hour, and deletes it within about a day. The counter is filed under a one-way hash of your connection's IP address; the address itself, your name and your email are not stored on the server.
The map on the contact page is only loaded if you press "Show map". Google then receives your IP address and browser details, and may set cookies, under Google's own privacy policy. Without pressing the button, nothing is sent to Google.
3. Who processes the data
- Hostinger hosts the website and the firm's email inboxes (ca@ramarajuassociates.in and finance@ramarajuassociates.in), and keeps standard server logs. Enquiry-form messages are processed on our web server at Hostinger and delivered straight to our inbox; no other service receives them.
- Google serves the office map, only when you choose to load it.
We do not sell personal data or share it with anyone else, except where the law requires it.
4. Retention
Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted from our inbox within 12 months. If you engage us, your details become part of the engagement file and are kept for the period required by ICAI standards and the applicable statutes (generally eight years for audit documentation).
5. Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask us to tell you what personal data we hold about you, correct or update it, erase it where we no longer need it, and withdraw consent for future processing. You may also nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf. To do any of this, email ca@ramarajuassociates.in with "Data request" in the subject line. We aim to respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India once it is operational.
6. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Enquiries are received into an access-controlled mailbox. Please do not send passwords, OTPs, bank details or identity documents through the enquiry form; once engaged, we will provide a secure channel for documents.
7. Children
This site is intended for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18.
8. Changes
We will update this notice when our practices change and revise the date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
